The newly established ‘Playground & Laboratory for New Technologies: The Plant’,
a research and education infrastructure at the Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences
at Maastricht University is hiring a Creative Lab Technologist and a Research
Software Engineer to contribute to its mission. The Plant aims to support
researchers, educators, and students in engaging with technologies and opening
up new societally relevant research and teaching paths, through collaboration,
exchange, and experimentation. The Plant will add to the digital infrastructure
at Maastricht University by catering to needs that are specific to the
humanities and social sciences, while also fostering ground-breaking
interdisciplinary research and education: group-based and technology-oriented
with diverse and atypical outputs, including but not limited to podcasts,
(online) digital exhibitions and collections, videos, datasets, interactive
2D/3D visualisations, databases, prototypes, and software. The PLANT will also
support current and future efforts in the areas of Open Science, data
management, FAIR data and data-related ethical and legal requirements.

Remuneration: According to Collective Labour Agreement (see specifics for each

Parental Leave, 40 days off per year, Bicycle plan etc.
