Applications for a postdoctoral scholar

The Navari Family Center for Digital Scholarship and the John J. Reilly Center for Science, Technology, and Values at the University of Notre Dame invite applications for a postdoctoral scholar with a one-year (1) appointment, renewable for a second year, ideally to begin August 1, 2022.

The fellow will serve as an integral member of the transformative project Unlocking Digital Texts: Towards an Interoperable Text Framework (ITF), which aims to design new tools to enable a more layered and nuanced approach to the online presentation, analysis, and reuse of textual resources without having to worry about their underlying format or specialized supporting infrastructure.

The successful candidate will join an interdisciplinary team supported by a New Directions for Digital Scholarship in Cultural Institutions grant <https://www.neh.gov/news/new-grants-awarded-neh-and-uk-arts-and-humanities-research-council-support-digital-innovation>

jointly funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) and the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC), in a project involving Notre Dame, the Bodleian Library, Oxford, and the Cambridge University Library.

The salary is $55,000 annually plus benefits, along with research and professional development funding.
