Quantitative analysis based on data of the impact and effectiveness of reading promotion actions promoted by CEPELL (MIC) also in comparison with the activities of public reading promotion institutions in the European context.

“The Center for Books and Reading (CEPELL) is an autonomous institute of the Ministry of Culture Analysis whose mission is to implement policies for the dissemination of books and reading in Italy. To this end, it promotes policies to disseminate Italian books, culture and authors, and initiatives and information campaigns to raise awareness and encourage young people to read. The aim of the project is to carry out an analysis of the impact and effectiveness of the actions carried out by the Center, applying Data Science methods and approaches to data held by the institute and those from other relevant sources. The project also aims to carry out a comparative evaluation of corresponding public initiatives to promote reading in other European countries, with particular attention with those conducted under the Spanish Ministerio de Cultura y Deporte’s “Plan de fomento de la lectura.”
